Juniper has a Halloween book in which a baby in a cat costume finds all sorts of Halloween things, including candy apples. She's been enjoying the book lately, so we decided to introduce her to the real deal.
She was a little confused at first, and we had to show her how to eat it.
But by the end of the apple, she was a big fan!
The next day, Juniper was talking about her caramel apple and we realized that she thought getting to eat the apple meant Halloween had happened. I'm not sure that we successfully conveyed the distinction between Halloween and the Halloween season, but I think she did at least understand that it won't be Halloween till she gets to wear her Sue Storm costume again.
