Fun at the zoo

Violet and Cheryl are in town for a nice long stay - hooray! (We're looking forward to Jason's arrival in a couple of weeks.) We had a fun, if cold, trip to the zoo yesterday.

The animals may get star billing, but the girls had just as much fun with these giant leaves they found in a trash (compost?) pile outside the zoo entrance.

Small girl, with big coat and large leaf.

I can stand on one leg too!

We didn't actually see a baby elephant, but we did get to see a baby kangaroo.

They spent a while playing hide and seek, which largely involved Violet counting and Juniper running to the exact same spot behind this hay bale.

I'm convinced the animals in the petting zoo must be sedated; it's hard to imagine goats so docile and uninterested in nibbling and exploring their visitors.

  1. We're hearing there is possibly a new addition whose made their arrival known. IF so, I hope you're all well and enjoying this special time!!
